Integrated Licensure & Play Therapy Supervision
I provide integrated licensure and play therapy supervision for counselors who are working toward professional licensure while also developing their play therapy practice. This may include counselors pursuing the LPC or LCPC credential in Illinois or the LPC credential in Missouri while also working toward the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or School-Based Registered Play Therapist (SB-RPT) credential. Integrated supervision allows both areas of professional development to be addressed within one coordinated supervision process rather than treating licensure development and play therapy development as separate areas of practice.
Supervision is grounded in the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM), which recognizes beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of professional development. This framework allows supervision to be responsive to your evolving skills, confidence, and clinical responsibilities while maintaining appropriate structure and accountability.
Supervision is available in in-person and virtual formats.
Who Is Integrated Supervision For?
Integrated Licensure and Play Therapy Supervision is intended for counselors whose professional development includes both clinical licensure and play therapy. It may be appropriate if you are:

Completing supervised clinical experience toward licensure in Illinois or Missouri

Working toward the RPT or SB-RPT credential while completing licensure supervision

Seeking one coordinated supervision process that addresses general clinical practice and the specialized use of play therapy
Your supervision plan is individualized based on your developmental level, clinical responsibilities, play therapy experience, licensure requirements, and professional goals.
Why Integrate Licensure and Play Therapy Supervision?
Clinical development and play therapy development do not occur independently. Your understanding of assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, ethics, therapeutic relationships, and use of self influences how you practice play therapy. At the same time, your work with children through play raises developmental and clinical questions that are relevant to your broader development as a counselor.
Integrated supervision provides a setting in which these areas can be considered together. A case may be explored from the perspective of clinical conceptualization and professional responsibility while also examining play themes, therapist responses, therapeutic limits, the play process, and your developing use of play therapy.
This approach supports the development of an integrated professional identity rather than treating your work as a counselor and your work as a play therapist as separate areas of practice.

Supervision Structure & Expectations
At the first supervision session, we will:

Review the Agreement for Licensure / Play Therapy Supervision

Discuss your goals for supervision across licensure and play therapy domains

Collaboratively develop a Development Plan to guide supervision

Complete the Supervisee Levels Questionnaire–Revised to help identify your current developmental level and supervisory needs
Supervision is designed to support integration of clinical skill development, theoretical understanding, ethical practice, and professional identity formation.
For supervisees pursuing the RPT or SB-RPT credential, supervision will also include the play therapy supervision requirements applicable to your credentialing goals. This may include review of recorded play therapy sessions, use of the Weekly Supervision Log, and ongoing assessment of play therapy development using the Play Therapy Practice and Skills Evaluation.
Licensure-related clinical development and play therapy development are considered together throughout supervision so that feedback, goals, and areas for continued growth can be integrated into one supervision process.
Supervision Fee
The fee for licensure and play therapy supervision is $75 per hour.
